There are several types of Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), including traumatic brain injury (TBI) caused by an external force, such as a blow to the head, and non-traumatic brain injury caused by internal factors such as stroke, infection, or oxygen deprivation. Other types of ABI include anoxic brain injury, which results from a lack of oxygen to the brain, and acquired hydrocephalus, which is caused by an accumulation of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain.
